Ikea Stoarage Bed process video

This video was created to share a bit of my process on making my custom Ikea storage bed. If you wish to learn more about the actual build, click here or look at the original inspiration for this project here.

In topic of creating this video, it was quite a challenge. This was my first project filmed entirely on the Insta360 one X camera. The great thing about a 360 camera, is you don’t have to worry about your framing or setting up your shot while you’re in the building mind set. A 360 camera gives you the freedom to decide your frame, transitions, camera motions, etc. in the editing room. The downside to this, is that editing 360 video isn’t exactly mainstream yet and can be a complex process. Most editing programs with good power aren’t geared for 360 video and can slip up while you’re editing (this becomes very frustrating when you finally get the shot perfect, save your project, and it decides to change all your settings…). All said and done, this video came out fairly nice and displays the building process in a fun way, which was exactly my intention.
