Korra’s winter jacket

An old favorite has been brought new life in this jacket. I had always loved Korras winter jacket from the first i’d seen it on TV while the show still aired, but only just got the chance to construct one. I started with drafting the custom pattern to execute all the features I wanted in the jacket like a functional hood, modular inner sleeves, and overall silhouette. I was able to gather some of my favorite material to make this exceptionally comfortable (like, really really comfy…). I used a sweatshirt fleece for the blue base and two different types of faux fur (short and long hair) for the white accents. To top it all off, I created an embroidered reversible broach to match the onscreen look of the coat and throw in a water tribe symbol option. These features can be seen below as well as other pictures documenting the final garment.
