This is honestly one of the most enjoyable projects to date! Unfortunately, I must withhold a considerable amount of background information about this project as of now because an instructional video is currently in the works.
These Jedi robes were an attempt to achieve a couple different goals. I wanted to :
come up with a good D.I.Y project that I could teach in video
make something awesome for my best friends Christmas present
and to do it cheap.
While it may not look like it, the majority of this costume is made from oversized t-shirts! Essentially, a few t-shirts were used in strategic ways to assemble the look of multiple layers of fabric. Combined with an upholstery vinyl belt, a few accessories, and a nice pair of costume hero boots and you’re done!
The instructional video will be completed soon, but please enjoy a gallery of this costume in use for the meantime. Once the video is completed, it will be posted below.
